The Ivers are three settlements and a working landscape, not one village. South of both, the Ridgeway estate and Thorney Business Park carry the haulage, waste and fabrication trade, where a weighbridge ticket, a transfer note or a tachograph download is somebody's duty-of-care record. Is Iver Heath covered, and Richings Park, or only the village?

The whole of The Ivers parish, Thorney included. Nothing is ever collected from any of them, so a cutting room off Pinewood Road and a transport office on the Ridgeway estate are dealt with identically: the media goes to Guildford Data Recovery by tracked, insured post, and the diagnosis costs nothing. Iver's postal town, its 01753 dialling code and its council give three different answers to where it is; none of them alters the work.

A portable SSD carrying a day's rushes will not mount. What now?

Leave it alone and ring 0800 6890668 before any recovery tool is pointed at it — software writing to a failing drive is the commonest way a straightforward job turns into a hard one. An external drive in its own enclosure travels whole, and so does a NAS unit. A NAS may go whole. A server or a RAID set is another matter: it must be taken apart, and each disk travels bare with its bay position written on it. Every member goes in — including the one that failed weeks ago and was never replaced. Leave the controller alone and start no rebuild. Once there is more than one disk the band opens at £500 + VAT, put in writing before anyone touches it.

How does the parcel actually get there from an SL0 address?

You post it yourself, tracked and insured. The intake laboratory is Guildford Data Recovery, ground floor of Building 2 on Guildford Business Park, GU2 8XH, and drop-offs are taken there on weekdays between 9am and 5:30pm.
