The Ivers comprise a working landscape and three different settlements; they are not just one village. Iver Heath grew as a result of Pinewood Studios opening in 1936, and Iver Heath still revolves around it today. Freelance editors, colourists, sound engineers, and VFX artists will have their respective project files, offline rushes, and conform data stored on portable SSDs and small enclosures so they can work from a stage, a home suite and/or a client location. Iver Village consists of a single linear High Street. St Peter's church is located at the older east end of this High Street, and the village has a conservation area that was established in 1982. Richings Park is a 1920s garden suburb which was planned by a single architect, George E. Clare. However, it is Richings Park that has the Elizabeth line station, not Iver Village. Between the village and the station, the Ridgeway estate and Thorney Business Park handle the haulage, waste and fabrication trade, where a weighbridge receipt, transfer note or tachograph download is someone's duty-of-care record. In The Ivers there is no counter, therefore most cases come through the postal service. First contact us either by telephone or using the form and we will provide you with a quote. Then send your parcel to the Guildford intake lab by tracked post and insure it, or drop it off there yourself (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, no appointment needed). Once received, our Guildford laboratory will examine it free of charge.

Is Iver Heath covered, and Richings Park, or only the village?
The entire parish of The Ivers, including Thorney. Nothing is ever collected from any of these locations, so a cutting room off Pinewood Road and a transport office on the Ridgeway estate are treated equally: get a quote either by telephone or using our quote request form, then send us the media, tracked and insured, via post to Guildford Data Recovery (our Guildford intake lab), or drop it off there (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, no appointment needed). The cost for diagnosing the issue will be zero. Iver has three separate answers to where it sits, depending upon whether you ask the area's postal address, the 01753 telephone dialling code, or which local authority governs this area; however, regardless of how you answer this question, it will have no bearing on what we do.
A portable SSD carrying a day's rushes will not mount. What now?
Please leave it untouched and call 0800 6890668 prior to utilising any recovery tool against it. Software writing to a failing disk is usually the manner in which an uncomplicated job can become complicated. An external drive in its own enclosure is transported whole; remove the disks from a NAS unit if possible, labelled by bay number, or it may also be transported intact. Diagnosis is complimentary and after the diagnostic process is completed the written quotation provided will include only one price, £300 + VAT if it was just a single disk that was sent. This price cannot be changed once issued.
The yard office runs a four-disk array. Do we post the whole unit?
If you have the ability, take the disks from your NAS, label them according to which bay they belong to; otherwise, it will need to come into us as a unit. It is a different story for servers and/or RAID sets: all disks will have to be removed and travel separately, each with its bay position written on it. Each member (including the drive that failed weeks ago and was never replaced) will have to be included. Leave the controller as-is, do not begin rebuilding, and request a quote prior to posting. At least two drives will cause the price to open at £500 + VAT, and the pricing is confirmed via written quote before we touch the system.
How does the parcel actually get there from an SL0 address?
First obtain a quote by telephone or using our online quote submission form, and then post the device yourself. Use trackable postage, insure it, and make sure it is posted to Guildford Data Recovery's intake laboratory located on the ground floor of Building 2, Guildford Business Park, GU2 8XG. Drop-offs are accepted there Monday to Friday, 9am to 5:30pm, no appointment needed. Be certain to include Guildford Data Recovery on the address label: packages addressed to this website instead may be turned away. We pay for return postage and answer phones during the same weekday hours.
